I got to know you a bit via the stories your mum told when we met the past years.
Bubbly, energetic, curious and active are a few of the words that come to mind.
Doing a lot of activities together with your sister, but also more and more growing into an more and more independent little lady.

Devastated, speechless…when we heard the news

I remember a story your mum told me, walking back from school to your home, when you shared with your mum one of the Dutch habits around Sinterklaas, when you needed to bring a ‘shoe’ to school, for ‘schoentje zetten’, in the classroom. You understood very well what was the plan, you needed to explain to your mum a bit why this was needed. This was one of the introductions in some of the Dutch habits we have. Showing you’re eager to learn and passion for new topics like Sinterklaas.

Dear Harriet, with love we will remember you.

Dear Harriet, it's hard to believe that only 3 weeks ago, you walked all the way from the BSO to our home, with Martina, your sister and your mother. We opened the door and we found you all smiling, happy to have walked together. Every time that you and your sister knocked at our door to have a quick chat with Martina you brought happiness and light. You are special to Martina, you are special to all of us and we feel blessed to have met you in this life. May our kiss and love find you wherever you are right now.

Dear Emma, Martina, her brothers and the all family are close to you and your parents in such a difficult moment. There are no words to explain the sadness her loss has brought to us all. We will never forgive Harriet
... her smile, her happiness, her light. Be strong and keep in mind that Harriet will always be next to you, whenever you will think about her, whenever you will need her. She will be your Angel, consoling you, protecting you, guiding you in every important moment of your life. Harriet still lives in what you are, in how you think, in what you will become, in how you love, in how you walk through your life. When I was young, I have been told that humans are like books. Human die and the books do the same...sometimes the pages fall apart and you are not able to put them back together. There is something that never dies, though: their stories.
