Thank you for sharing the deeply saddening news of Ajay’s passing.

Ajay was more than a safety adviser—he was a motivator, a mentor, and to many of us, the Shakespeare of the SSHEQ department. His ability to communicate safety matters with such clarity, passion, and creativity left a lasting impression on all who had the privilege to listen.

I must admit, words truly fail me right now. Ajay’s presence, kindness, and contributions touched us all profoundly, and his loss is felt deeply throughout our company.

Ajay, it’s difficult to put into words how deeply you’ll be missed. You were such a kind and remarkable person — someone whose warmth and humor left a lasting impression on everyone around you. Though I knew you mostly through Tims, it always felt like I knew you personally because of the way he spoke about you — with such admiration, gratitude, and respect.
Your guidance went far beyond work. You stood by him not only in his career but also during some of the most important transitions in our lives — especially during our move to the Netherlands. Your advice, reassurance, and constant encouragement made that time so much easier for both of us. For that, I’ll always be thankful.
You were more than a mentor to him; you were a friend, a guide, and a steady presence he could always count on. I’ll forever remember your kindness and your wisdom.

Ajay, I still can’t believe you’re gone. You were more than a mentor to me — you were my guide, my friend, and the reason I am where I am today. You believed in me when I doubted myself, and your advice, patience, and guidance shaped so much of who I’ve become.

Your sense of humor was one of a kind — no one could make me laugh the way you did. I’ll miss those walks back from work, when we’d talk about everything and nothing. I’ll miss our chats whenever I was in doubt, when your words somehow made everything clearer. And I’ll miss our endless cricket talks — the debates, the predictions, and the laughs that came with them.

Thank you, Ajay, for everything — for every conversation, every bit of guidance, and every moment of encouragement. You’ve left behind more than memories; you’ve left a mark on my life that I’ll carry forever.

I am truly shocked and heartbroken that Ajay is not with us now. His smile, his joy, and his positivity always lit up every room and made everyone feel at ease. Ajay was always one step ahead in kindness, helping others without a second thought. Gone far too soon, but the garden he built for us will forever bloom with his memory — a living reminder of his love and generosity. You studied, learned, and pushed all of us to do better, never resting in your pursuit of zero accidents. Every injury affected you as if it were your own, and every near miss inspired you to pick up the phone, check in, and make things right. Because that’s who you were—dedicated, compassionate, and endlessly committed to making shipping safer.
But you weren’t just a champion for safety—you were also someone who cared deeply and went above and beyond for others. I’ll forever remember the time you moved mountains during the early Covid days, making dozens of calls to port authorities, flag states, and even religious leaders just to ensure one of our seafarers could receive care. You gave your all to those who needed you, and in doing so, you taught us what it truly means to lead with empathy and determination.
You also made all of us laugh, Ajay. You had this incredible ability to lighten the mood, no matter the situation. Whether it was filling those awkward silences during conferences with one of your famous jokes or even calming our nerves with your humor—like the time you convinced me my "fever" after wading through murky waters might’ve been caused by flesh-eating bacteria, only to laugh it off and reassure me it was just the broken air conditioning! Those stories, that warmth, and your remarkable ability to connect with people—those are gifts you shared so freely, and they will never be forgotten.
As we say goodbye, we feel the void you’ve left behind, both in our work and in our lives. But more than anything, we feel grateful—grateful for you, Ajay. For your kindness and care. For your wisdom and dedication. For all the ways you made a difference. You’ve touched countless lives, and your legacy will continue in the many ways you’ve inspired us to be better, kinder, safer, and stronger.
