Er branden 127 kaarsen

Teodora Ristea, the owner of the dogshelter 'Prietenii Nostri' in Slatina Romania, died today. She was the (almost sole) caretaker of over 500 dogs. This angel is no more, but hopefully she will be the guardian-angel of all those dogs at her shelter. Everyone of The Dutch foundation Dogs Adoptions Nederland, volunteers and all others are deeply saddened. We wish her family and friends all the best in these hard and sad times. Rest in peace dear Teodora and thank you for all your good work for the Romanian dogs. > 'The association “Prietenii Nostri” was officially founded in 2005 to give an answer to the tragic emergency that affects stray dogs in Romania: a strayness completely out of control and hundreds of thousands of dogs exterminated every year by the authorities in a climate of total indifference.'
