Having family isn't about blood, its about the people you love and care about. You are my uncle and part of so many of my childhood memories and I am so glad that I can say that. I am so sad that I am far away, crying as I listen to Dan Dan cry and knowing I can't hug her right now. Through the tears though, I am smiling at all the photos of you. Your smile, your yellow ski jacket, your laugh (that I can hear just seeing some of the photos) and that impressive moustache are all so great and even my sadness can't stop the happiness they create.

Ralph's smile and kind, welcoming eyes & his biggest heart are what comes to mind first. Things that live on in his loving daughter Danielle. His travel stories and chats will be sorely missed.

My memories of Ralph were mostly in Sherlocks. He was the first pub guy who was interested in my Bikram yoga conversation, my gardening attempts and food adventures. Ralph always observed others with interests, never intrusive and gave undistracted attention to whom he spoke with. A good pub day was seeing other pubbers had had a great time there. When asked which Rugby team he supported, Ralph always said: the team that play well. Always sensible, polite, attentive. We shall miss this fine yorkshire gentleman. Rest in peace, Ralf. XXX Serene
